The influence of cavitation in common-rail diesel nozzles on the soot formation process has been analysed experimentally. was characterized by measuring emissions a single-cylinder engine, which mounted test bench equipped with an opacimeter. In order to do this, operating conditions where oxidation equivalent were chosen, whereby differences possible be analysed. results achieved confirm that provokes reduction. This reduction can attributed combining three effects: effective diameter, increase injection velocity, and turbulence level inside nozzle orifice leading longer lift-off length. effects lead decrease relative fuel/air ratio at lift-off, therefore explaining
